Location: Onsite – Brooklyn, NY About the Role:
We are looking for a Student Services Administrator to join our university team in Brooklyn. This role is all about helping students succeed by being their go-to resource for questions about billing, payments, and account support. You will work directly with students every day via phone, email, and ticketing systems, providing clear answers and guidance with a strong focus on customer service. Key Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for students regarding billing, tuition payments, and account questions.

Respond to student inquiries by phone, email, and ticketing system with professionalism, patience, and empathy.

Provide clear explanations of account balances, payment options, and billing policies.

Troubleshoot and resolve account-related issues, escalating complex cases when necessary.

Document student interactions and resolutions in the system for accurate record-keeping.

Use the Ellucian Colleague system to look up student information, update accounts, and process payments.

Collaborate with other campus offices (Registrar, Financial Aid, etc.) to provide seamless student support.

Educate students on available resources and processes to encourage self-service where appropriate.

Contribute to improving student services by identifying common issues and suggesting process improvements.

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in customer service or student support, ideally in a university or higher education setting.

Familiarity with Ellucian Colleague or similar student information systems preferred.

Strong communication and active listening skills with the ability to explain policies and procedures clearly.

Patient, empathetic, and student-centered approach.

Ability to manage multiple inquiries at once and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new systems.
