About the Role

We’re seeking a Seller Retention and Engagement Marketing professional to drive adoption, engagement, and long-term success for sellers on a large-scale marketplace platform. This role focuses on the product lifecycle, using behavioral insights and data to understand where sellers are in their journey and influence what they do next.

You’ll design and execute targeted, data-driven marketing initiatives that encourage sellers to adopt tools and services, improve shop quality, and continue growing their businesses. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution and requires close collaboration with cross-functional partners across marketing, analytics, and product teams.

The ideal candidate is both a strategist and a builder—someone who understands how lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and behavioral design come together to drive retention and meaningful engagement.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and contribute to a seller engagement roadmap that supports retention, product adoption, and seller success

  • Plan, launch, and optimize multi-channel lifecycle marketing campaigns in partnership with analytics and marketing teams

  • Define target audiences, build smart segments, and optimize messaging cadence to improve the seller experience

  • Design retention-focused campaigns that nudge sellers toward high-impact actions such as onboarding completion, tool adoption, feature discovery, and quality improvements

  • Partner with analytics teams to analyze performance, uncover insights, and continuously refine strategies using behavioral and predictive data

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience in retention and lifecycle marketing, with a proven ability to drive behavior change and product adoption

  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (Braze preferred) and audience segmentation strategies

  • Analytical mindset with comfort interpreting engagement data, testing results, and behavioral trends

  • Ability to execute end-to-end, balancing strategic planning with operational delivery and experimentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in marketplace or e-commerce environments

  • Exposure to behavioral design principles or predictive modeling

  • HTML/CSS experience for email development

  • Familiarity with seller-facing tools or platforms
