About the Role

We’re looking for a tech-savvy, service-oriented Onsite Support Technician (Tier 1) to provide hands-on audiovisual (AV) support at client sites. In this role, you’ll help ensure that conference rooms, AV systems, and event setups run smoothly, contributing to an exceptional end-user experience. You'll work closely with internal teams, support desks, and client stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, maintain AV systems, and support meetings and events.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and tear down conference rooms to meet event and meeting needs
  • Perform routine maintenance to keep AV equipment functioning properly
  • Clean AV equipment such as camera lenses, monitors, and fans
  • Support meetings, troubleshoot live AV issues, and assist with simple equipment installs
  • Provide basic training and guidance to users on AV technology as needed
  • Document work performed, follow processes, and communicate updates clearly
  • Maintain safety standards on-site and follow all local regulations
  • Travel to other nearby client sites as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients in a professional, service-focused manner

Qualifications

Required:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively (soldering/crimping a plus)
  • Basic understanding of AV signal flow (audio, video, control)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in AV support or a related technical role
  • Familiarity with Crestron, Poly, Biamp, and Dante systems
Preferred:
  • Education or training in Electronics or related fields
  • Relevant certifications or coursework, such as:
  • AMX Intro to Networking for AV Professionals
  • Crestron Professional Installation
  • Extron AV Associate
  • AVIXA Quick Start or CTS Certification
