We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic IT team, contributing to the support and evolution of a nationwide technology environment across multiple locations. This role will be instrumental in deploying, maintaining, and enhancing both network and systems infrastructure—with a particular emphasis on Azure and cloud-first solutions .
This is a hybrid position , requiring presence on-site three days per week, with remote flexibility for the remaining two days depending on current project demands.
Responsibilities:

Work alongside MSPs and technology vendors to manage and oversee the health, performance, and security of IT networks, including platforms such as Azure, Juniper, Versa, and Cradlepoint

Install, configure, and manage Windows and Linux servers —both physical and virtual—utilizing Hyper-V and Azure environments

Oversee the use of infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools to ensure proactive system support

Develop and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation and system diagrams

Adhere to established change management and risk mitigation protocols

Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance or mentorship when needed

Identify and implement strategic enhancements to system design and performance

Collaborate with internal teams on IT projects, ensuring infrastructure aligns with technical standards and business goals

Maintain up-to-date patching and compliance with internal and industry security frameworks, including PCI-DSS, ISO27001, and GDPR

Support the core IT infrastructure stack— firewalls, switches, routers, SD-WAN, VPNs, wireless access points , and hybrid cloud/on-prem server environments

Deliver high-quality technical support by working closely with MSPs and internal IT/service delivery personnel
Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, ideally within environments that blend on-premise and cloud technologies

Proven ability to manage and support multi-location and distributed network infrastructures

Strong foundational knowledge of IT security and infrastructure best practices
- Experience in the retail sector is strongly preferred

Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail in documentation
Preferred Skills & Tools:

Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies

Familiarity with SASE architecture and Versa SD-WAN solutions

Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and regulatory compliance frameworks
