Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Gather and document business and functional requirements for store-level applications, POS enhancements, and operational system changes

• Translate business needs into detailed specifications for developers and technical teams

• Analyze, map, and validate structured data from live store feeds, pricing systems, and inventory/equipment status platforms

• Manage data integrations using flat files (CSV, TXT), ensuring accuracy and timely exchange with internal systems

• Write and execute complex SQL queries for ad hoc analysis, data profiling, and UAT validation

• Assist in middleware coordination for pricing updates and ensure smooth data handoffs between front-end applications and backend systems

• Collaborate with Store Operations, IT, and vendor partners to troubleshoot production issues and support application rollouts

• Support the seasonal store ramp-up by aligning technical solutions with business timelines and operational scaling needs

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within a retail systems or store operations environment

• Strong SQL skills for data querying, analysis, and validation (including joins, unions, and data cleansing techniques)

• Experience handling flat file data (CSV/TXT), including parsing, formatting, and troubleshooting import/export processes

• Familiarity with POS systems, pricing engines, and retail-specific middleware or integration layers

• Proven ability to work closely with developers, QA, and infrastructure teams in a technically driven environment

• Excellent documentation skills (BRDs, process flows, data dictionaries) and comfort facilitating cross-functional discussions

• Experience in high-volume, seasonal retail (e.g., temporary store setup, pricing changes, or equipment tracking)

• Familiarity with ticketing/project management tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or Azure DevOps

• Understanding of device provisioning, inventory lifecycle, or store equipment telemetry
